So...even though she will kill me...
I just had to pop in and wish my younger sister, Angela, a Happy 25th Birthday!
She hates getting her picture taken, so the only ones I have are from my wedding in 2006...{and since some of you emailed requesting to see pics of me in my wedding tiara I thought they would work anyways ;)}...
I love this one taken right after, "You may kiss the bride"...I love the smile she has on her face for us...
Angela has always been there for me...and we have gone through some rough times together, but we always help each other through. We even think we have one of those "twin" connections you hear of, even though we are almost three years apart. We are always finishing each other's thoughts and sentences. Literally, she will call me up and say, "Who was that girl from...you know..." or something along those lines and almost every time...I know.
A couple of months back Angela and her fiance Jeff got engaged on a cruise in the Caribbean...you know one of those engagements a girl couldn't even dream up. They had, unfortunately, faced a family tragedy the day before...but their love pulled them through and solidified their relationship even more than the 8 years they have been together...
And just as Angela was my Maid of Honor...I will be her's {whenever they finally set a date! Apparently they aren't in a hurry}...and I will be beaming with pride {and a twinge of sadness} on that day as she makes that promise of commitment and love...
So...little sister...you have gotten me through so much...and I know you will get me through so much more in the future, just as I hope to do for you. Thanks for always supporting me, encouraging me, and inspiring me in your gentle and graceful ways...
You deserve so much more than you have been handed...and I know it has been hard...but I hope that this day...this 25th year of your life...is filled with all things you have hoped and dreamed for...and then some ;)
Happy Birthday Angela...

Till next time...

I don't know why she hates having her picture taken, because she's beautiful! Seems like she's too critical of herself.

Every time I see a picture of you I'm just stunned by how lovely you are. I forget that you're so young because you have such a "old soul". I hope that sounds as flattering as I mean it. *sheepish smiles*
I'm glad you're doing better. I caught something too and it lasted about 2 weeks before I really got done with it. Could we have the same cold from different states?
Hope you have a restfully beautiful weekend. Blessings.. Polly

Hi Alice!
You were (are) such a lovely bride!! And your sister is as lovely...good genes :-) You will both have darling children some day.
And so great to see that you are feeling better. Summer colds are the worst! I have already been shopping your creative webshop.

Alice,
It's wonderful to see the relationship you have with your sister. Something I wished I had.... but good friends fill that void. Hope you get better soon and grace us with all the beautiful images you are known for.
All my best,
Carole
