As I mentioned yesterday...a storm was brewing here...and lasted all day...
Resulting in a 'snow day' for many.
I did something a bit unusual for me on such a day as this...and decided to venture out...and enjoy the beauty of the snow...
This was the view Renoir and I were greeted with as we headed out to the back porch...
After forcefully shoving our way out...we romped and played together in the snow...
Have I told you how much Renoir loves the snow?
Until his paws get too cold that is.
But today we forged our way through it {over a foot and much higher in the drifts}...
and had so much fun together.
We took in the picturesque views from our backyard...
And enjoyed the beauty of the large trees in the front...
Whose boughs were heavy laden with snow...
Then it was time to head in where we welcomed the warmth of our cozy home.
Unfortunately, Renoir had gotten so many "snow balls" stuck to him...we had to melt them away in the warmth of the bath. And he didn't seem to mind today {he does not enjoy the bath as much as he does the snow, for sure}.
And I looked to my White Hyacinth for the hope of spring...while it may not seem close when looking outside...this sweet flower reminds me that it cannot be too far off...
Wishing you all a beautiful weekend!
Till next time...

Wonderful photos Alice! Wow you do have snow. Do I dare tell you that the Spring flowers are blooming here in Portland. We had a very mild winter.
It looks like you and Renoir had a great time in the snow. Thanks for sharing your photos.

So nice chatting with you again last night my dear sweet friend! Happy weekend ~ I'm taking the weekend off (or at least trying to ;)

Renoir is so cute! I love him in his snow pictures. We have seen lots of snow here as well, but I am sure you have more in inches than we have. Enjoy a weekend sitting by the fire and staying warm.
Hugs,

Hi Alice,
Yes, you definitely got a lot of snow too! I'm glad your little dog enjoyed it...
My Starla, an indoor kitty, scooted out on the deck, taking an opportunity when the door opened...but after about 10 seconds turned right around and ran back inside!
Spring can't come soon enough for me!

Beautiful photos! I'm longing for Spring, too. We actually had about a foot of snow here recently and that's rare for the Dallas area. I can't wait for the warmer weather!
Have a fabulous day!

Seeing Renoir in the snow is adorable. We had snow and rain all day. When I drove home late at night it was a white again...so pretty. To my dismay it was all gone in the morning...so unfortunately no good pics!
Glad you and Renoir had a good day!

You make the snow look ever so beautiful Alice. I am so glad that you and Renior got out so that you could bring us all the beauty that surrounds you. Breathtaking views from your house. There is nothing as lovely as fresh snow.

Lovely snow pics... My Pomerians, Snickers, just loves the snow too. My his little sister, Tinky, doesn't and hates to go out in this weather. He romps and plays, but she won't have any of it.
Have a wonderful weekend.

BEAUTIFUL photos!!! I loved the ones of Renoir playing in the snow. I just lost my precious fur baby & some of the last photos I have of her were in the snow. Go give him an extra hug right now! BECAUSE YOU CAN! Thanks for sharing! Charlene

Love the photos of the snow and Renoir but it made me shiver! We are having cold, wet rain today...but at least we don't have to endure "snow balls" in our fur...lol! Stay warm ~ Cheryl

How fun! Renoir makes an adorable snow dog. We didn't get enough to play in. We had rain then snow then rain. I much prefer it to just snow!

Hi ALice,
Oh you have captured a perfect blanket of snow, they look hauntingly beautiful!
Throw a snowball for me, it was only rain here.
Blissful days ahead,
