There is a place I call my own
Where I can stand by the sea
And look beyond the things I've known
And dream that I might be free
Like a bird above the trees
Gliding gently on the breeze
I wish that all my life I'd be
Without a care and flying free
But life is not a distant sky
Without a cloud, without rain
And I can never hope that I
Can travel on without pain
Time goes swiftly on it's way
All too soon we've lost today
I cannot wait for skies of blue
Or dream so long
That life is through
So life's a song that I must sing, a gift of love I must share
And when I see the joy it brings, my spirits soar through the air
Like that bird up in the sky, life has taught me how to fly
For now I know what I can be
And now my heart is flying free...

Alice the song is lovely and how true your thoughts. Sometimes we chain ourselves down so that we no longer have wings. Trying to please too many and forget ourself. Here's to you flying free!!!

Hi Alice
How have you been? Love your post - it is all so true.
Sometimes you just have to break free, my way is to go on a roadtrip! If only for a day, just get in the car and go where I want. ( usually always antiquing)
Blessings

I like that post Alice,
I hear ya there's where I'm at in my life. I have always gotten up early from when my children were little I like to have the time to sit and reflect, think and clear my head. A time to be at peace now I'm able to do that all day each and everyday and I'm so thankful for this.

So very true!
Keep doing what your heart tells you and keep telling us, so we will make choices of our hearts. It is good to remind eachother!
Thanks friend!:-)

I have been thinking that, too.
When you hold on and try to "make it" it usually blows up in your face but when you let go and live things naturally come together.
I love Madeleine P, by the way. Half the Perfect world is the perfect summer album.

I just found you in Somerset Studio and I am now obsessed with your photos and your blog, I sent it to all my friends. Just gorgeous!
I really admire your eye and the way you look at simple things and capture them with your camera. Being a fellow photographer I can completely appreciate what you do. I can see why you have such a huge following. You can add one more to your admirers!
