I want to extend a huge thank you to all of you who left such loving and encouraging comments on my last post.
As well as, to those who sent private emails or notes on Facebook.
Your words touched me more than you could know and really helped to remember that I am not alone.
The stories of your own experiences were so heartfelt and appreciated. I savored every one.
I could never thank you enough.
Hazel is now 7 months old and weighed 14 lbs. 6 oz. at her last hospital visit.
She is the sweetest little thing ever. And I really mean that :)
Some of you have also written inquiring about her nursery...which I am ashamed to admit I still haven't gotten around to.
We started to paint. And then stopped. Then filled her room with storage stuff. Sigh.
But it will get there. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
The crib and mattress that my mom bought her for Christmas are leaning against the wall just waiting to be assembled.
So for now...here is little glimpse of reality...
We are working on painting over the old blue with the palest shade of ivory/pink called "Lip Gloss".
Will of course post about it when I have it is done.
But that could be awhile as little Miss Hazel keeps me quite busy...
Again, thanks a thousand times over for your love and support!
Till next time...

Ooohhh Alice, your little angel is soooo cute!!!!!!I'm soooo glad for you.
Take care and see you soon.

I'm pretty good at painting just say the word:) I think I have painted every inch of this house and all the furniture.

so glad all the comments helped. It is so important to know you aren't alone, because very often that's exactly how it feels when looking after a baby.
Hazel is utterly gorgeous. :O)
And as for her nursery, ah well, it'll get done in the end.

Oh Alice,
I'm so sorry that it all came down on you. You just take your time with everything and enjoy each and every day that you have with your beautiful little girl and yes things are different now but it is all very exciting and tiring all at the same time. Don't try to do every thing everyday with a little baby you can't do everything. Thank God you have a loving and very helpful husband and you are so blessed to be able to stay at home and enjoy your baby each and everyday and as she gets older it will be easier each day. Just take your time and enjoy we are all here for you I'm so glad that you have a loving family and a great support system and the entire community.
Just take care we all love you Alice

Thanks so much for sharing the ups and downs of being a new mother. Your daughter is adorable. I love her little boots that look like Uggs.
