We have been enjoying the most wonderful spring weather lately which means lots of time outdoors.
Hazel has been getting good use out of her stroller. We have been enjoying trips to the post office, the library, antique shops and exploring on trails in the woods.
Some days we just play in the yard with Renoir too...while they get to know each other and Renoir learns to resist Hazel's toys.
We have also been getting used to a new surprise that we discovered at the beginning of February...
Hazel is going to be a big sister!
Our next baby is due October 7th...the news definitely came as quite a shock to me...
and has taken some adjusting to get comfortable with the idea of having two babies so close in age.
Especially since it was so hard the first time around.
But my prayer is that this pregnancy will go a bit smoother...and longer...
Hopefully, so that I can experience a full term baby who doesn't need to hang out in the NICU :)
We know this baby is a blessing no matter what and look forward to watching the two grow up together.
Thanks for all of your support and prayers...
Till next time...enjoy spring!

I love big families, and both my hubby and I have siblings that are 14 (I have a brother that is 14 months younger) and 15 months apart (hubby has a sister that is 15 months older than him) from us. Oh Alice, I think that's more of a shock than a surprise! LOL! Congratulations to you, your husband, and sweet little Hazel. Yes definitely a big adventure for you all, including Renior! Another blog I follow, she too recently discovered she is unexpectedly pregnant and will also have two children under the age of 2. I wish you a healthy and easy pregnancy this time around.

Alice....get some rest and take CARE OF YOURSELF!!! Both my boys were born preemies... and I took lots of medication and several months of bed rest off of work to get my baby girl full term. I am so happy for your growing family, but I know that pregnancy, while joyous, can also be a fearful time for many mothers. I'll pray that your baby is born safely and that you have a happy and healthy pregnancy! I hope you get to enjoy every minute of it this time around! Listen to your doctors and please rest! O, baby joy!

Alice,
So very happy for your family! Hazel (love that name!) is precious! Try to stay positive, enjoy every moment of it! You're experienced now, so you know what to expect. You'll be able handle whatever comes along. My only parenting advice is to recognize each child's individuality. They may be close in age but they may be different.
I'm in total awe of your photography! I just found your blog yesterday and added it to my yahoo page. And, loving your music choices, many of my all time favorite songs.
Hugs!

I feel as though I can really relate to you and I thank you for being an amazing blogger and sharing your life with all of us. Best of luck with the babies!! :)
