Yesterday...I had a very important date. In Wonderland.
I made it on time mind you...even sporting my 3-D glasses.
After I fell down the rabbit hole, I was met with curiosity...enchantment...confusion...and even a bit of disappointment...
Thus is Wonderland I suppose.
I often get lost in the details of movies....the backgrounds...set scenery...little extras others may never notice. There were little things in this film that enchanted me in that way......but I suppose I had just expected a little bit more...
Some characters did delight...such as Alice herself...
And of course...the Mad Hatter...
I was also fond of the White Rabbit {who doesn't love a little white rabbit donning a waistcoat?}
Even Tweedledum and Tweedledee gained my affection...
As did the very large head of the Red Queen...
However, I could have done without this version of the White Queen {sorry Anne Hathaway fans...I never have been and her look in this certainly did not help matters}...
And perhaps some of the lacking "muchness" as the Hatter told Alice...
You used to be much more...muchier. You've lost your muchness.
Perhaps that is what this trip to Wonderland needed for me...a little bit more muchness.
It did, however, inspire me to pick up the original books once again...and perhaps create my own whimsical world through them. I have read Through the Looking-Glass and Alice in Wonderland several times throughout my life...but it has been some years now...so I think another trip is surely needed...
I hope that you enjoy a "much-filled" week...
Till next time...
