For a couple of years now, I have known that we needed a new computer. Making such a big decision, however, is always quite difficult for me. I analyze everything for countless hours, resulting in two years later...still the same old Dell running slower than slow {does start up mind you...just takes its sweet time}.
Well, last Friday Joshua told me we really needed to make the move. I spent that day researching what computers are best for photography and kept coming up with one word....Mac.
I have always liked the look of Macs, heard raves from Mac owners, and pondered the thought in my own head from time to time.
But could I really do it? Make the switch?
When Josh came home that day, I had the Apple site open to the iMac page and showed him that I had possibly made a decision.
Much to my surprise he was really into it. Maybe even more so than me.
He had no fears. I kept bring up this and that and the other thing. And he told me I was over thinking it all. {Something I am actually quite good at}.
We talked to some other people that day...who were both pro and against. And still I struggled.
In my gut, however, I felt I was ready to take the plunge.
We decided to head out to the store that night...and go to the Apple section. A representative was there who really listened to my concerns, showed me how to do things, and let us "play" to our hearts content.
We were sold. Smitten even.
I had my eye on the 27" {although Josh thought it a bit extreme}...and then when I heard the rep say that you could take your photos from your computer to your iPad and bring them with you anywhere...I perked up.

What was this? iPad. I have seen commercials. And thought, "Who would want a giant iPod?"
Until I realized the possibilities.
Sold again! So there we were, two "non-gadgety" people {I don't even have a cell phone that is how non-gadgety I am. I know what you may be thinking, but trust me, it works out just fine for my life. After all, they haven't been around forever. We just live in a society that believes you can't live without them among so many other things. Okay...off of my soapbox and back to my iPad....}
So we went with the 21.5" screen and threw in the iPad.
And all of my fears about making the switch...taking the bite into an apple?
Not bad at all...in fact I am truly enjoying it.
Till next time...
